Container was large enough to
"Container was large enough to place the entire large dog food bag inside. If you open the dog food and dump it in, eventually all the crumbs accumulate on the bottom and can make a mess or go rancid. Putting the entire bag in and just opening the top of the bag keeps things cleaner. Wheels on the bottom for rolling are also nice. The only negative so far is that the lid isn't very tight when you latch it so I'm a little dubious that it's truly airtight."

I was sent this product
"I was sent this product free in exchange for my review. There's really not a whole lot to say about it. It was a breeze to put together. The wheels work really well. The lid seems to have a good seal on it to keep the food fresh. Overall it's a well-made product and I would recommend."

So far so good! Ordered
"So far so good! Ordered two of these for my dogs food and they are a great space saver and look so much neater than the big ole garbage bin previously being used. The bins easily fit a 50lb bag of food. I actually slide the bag and all inside the container. Happy with purchase. No issue with missing parts or broken wheels as some others have stated."

"I bought a few of these containers for storing sugar, flour, and rice to keep them safe from pests. I usually buy in bulk, and the larger bags fit into these containers well. They maneuver good as well, even when full, and I haven't had any issues with freshness or pests while using them."

Airtight Container
"It's a sturdy roomy container that is useful for storing pet food cat litter etc. The assembly was simple but I took one star away as the lid was awkward to install and the hinges look fragile in comparison with the rest of the unit. I would recommend."

Prefect storage
"I’m so glad I bought this! I’ve just been clipping my dogs bag closed and wanted this for a while and it helps a lot with keeping it fresh! Helps keep the smell inside the container and doesn’t take up a lot of storage space!"

This Iris pet food storage
"This Iris pet food storage container was purchased to replace a previous smaller one. The smaller one had been a bit small for holding a large 35# bag of dog food. We keep the dog food in the original bag, so we had to make the bag "skinny enough" to fit the bag into the skinnier storage container. (Maybe we really don't have to keep the food in the bags, but we do anyway. ) As some others have noted, the wheels can break off when the container has a heavy weight dumped into it. This is what happened to our smaller container when I was trying to "slam" the big bag of dog food into the too-skinny space. (I had always been successful before, but was not careful enough this last time. ) So, when the wheels break off, it is impossible to re-attach them. You can still use the container by removing the wheels, though. So, we will use our skinnier container for containing dog food in our RV. These Iris containers had previously been available through pet supply stores, but these stores now carry different brands. We have two other Iris containers that we wanted to match in height and style (cat food, bird food). These air tight containers are invaluable for keeping dogs out of their food, and also for keeping any moths or insects contained-- as, these critters occasionally infiltrate/infest birdseed and pet foods and will infiltrate your house (we've had much experience with this). The Iris containers work fine. In normal use, the wheels will not break off."

Note: This applies to the
"Note: This applies to the 67-quart version. This is an excellent product; we have four of them. Two we use for separate dry dog food brands for our five dogs. The other two we use as trash containers at separate indoor locations; the lid with the clasp makes them extremely difficult to be opened by a four-legged thief. The bins easily hold a 40-pound bag of dry food and can hold a larger, 50-pound bag. They seal tightly, but are easy to open for those family members with hands. This means they are not child proof. We have used them for about three years. While they are great for securing your indoor trash, they can crack with frequent use or abuse. Still, they are a good solution for dumpster diving dogs. I recently replaced the two trash bins, while the dog food bins look new."

Well made, nice product
"The size is great for a full bag of dog food, and it’s great to keep the house clean and not feed mice! The added wheels are also a nice feature. It keeps the dogfood fresh and it’s easy to use!!"
