"Im using four of these panels as a pin for dog bed in the bedrom doorway. It keeps them from full access into the bedroom but allows them access to their potty mats on the hallway floor while I'm away. They're flimsy, movable, light weight, but I have one linked to the door knob, and the other side balanced at the opening of the door. They're little dogs and don't test the boundaries at all so if works beautifully for us."
"After using the Iris Containment 8-Panel Pen for 4 months for our new pup, I can honestly say this pen has been a perfect choice of containment for our Lhasa pup. I arranged the pen differently and why I bought an additional two panels and now we are very happy with the different arrangement and extra play space. I have raved about this Iris pen to many pet owners and would never consider a wire cage or exercise pen as in the past after using this Iris pen. It is so easy to assemble or take apart, rearrange, add to, and it is attractive looking too."
"I left the original review below but wanted to update. My dogs are now 21 and 15 months old and I found out that my girl and part great dane and part lab. Needless to say she is HUGE but I still keep them contained with the panels. I either use them to restrict their access to areas of the house or use the 12 panels to make a big pen and they are still tall and sturdy enough to keep them contained. Bonus, they dropped the panels a few times rough housing so now they are terrified the noise they make when falling so they don't try to jump on them - EVER. I have two very young dogs, 5 and 9 months and keeping them contained and the younger one from chewing everything was an issue. I bought the pen previously for my older one and added 2 sets of panels when I got the younger one to pen them together. I also use the panels separately as barriers to furniture or gate to restrict access to the kitchen. I think they could cost less but the plastic is super sturdy and so far my almost 50lb 5 month lab has not been able to topple the pen over and boy does she try. Also these are tall enough that unless you're penning a pony, there is no wait your dog can get over the pen. Not sure how this would work for a Great Dane though."
"I really like this pen and being able to by add-on panels to make the pen a bit bigger is great! If I had any suggestion for improvement it would be the poles. I have male dogs and sometimes they pee on the poles then the poles rust. The only place to find replacement poles is with IRIS and they are kind of spendy."
"Great and very versatile pen for dogs of most sizes. Can be used in many configurations. You can use two panels to block off a door, or all the panels to make a variety of shapes. You can even buy additional pairs of panels as needed. Pens are durable and very light weight. Anyone can put the panels together as needed. The panels are easily wiped off or even hosed off to clean."
"I purchased this 2 Panel gate to keep my 19 lb Morkie on my deck, and it is working out perfectly. I just lay it against the deck opening. It is sturdy enough to stay put. My dog doesn't go near it. It hasn't been bothered by the harsh weather/storms we have had not too long ago either. I do recommend this gate."
"We love the versatility of the shapes you can make with the playpen. Having additional panels to add to our basic playpen expands on that. Over the years this has been a wonderful playground for our miniature poodle puppies when we had to leave for work. Now it is the playpen for our standard poodle puppy."
"I have the original 4-sided pen; however, as a puppy grows, you may want to give him/her a little more space. Having crate trained, the original containment pen is a great addition. With the expansion pieces, this is almost a "playpen" for your puppy. I could also see this being used for other small animals that you may want to take outside but don't want to worry about them running off. The quality is fantastic. The panels are easy to add to the existing pen. You can pick and choose your own customized size."

"Love these crates to contain my Yorkies, they make a great fence for my cottage (summer season only). I've been using them for 4 years, only needed to replace the poles with galvanized stakes once the poles degraded after being exposed to weather elements. The plastic crates portions have held up fabulously!"
