SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading multi-site process improvement initiatives across the company’s distribution network to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Evaluate and provide recommendations of all company-wide distribution activities to improve productivity, efficiencies, and accuracy
- Research and identify root cause analysis of operational inefficiencies, utilizing a variety of data and recommend solutions
- Lead distribution-related special projects as assigned
- Assist in developing and implementing procedures
- Collaborate with Distribution Managers to design and execute improvement projects aligned with KPIs
- Provide training and support to facility staff during process changes to ensure successful adoption and sustainability
- Assist with review of department budget and recommendations for improvement
- Monitor progress of implemented changes, measure results against targets, and adjust as needed toward continuous improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams including SCM, Production, Safety, and Quality to integrate improvement initiatives with company-wide distribution objectives
- Assist in managing and reporting timely and accurate customer order fulfillment through various distribution channels: FTL, LTL, Ecommerce, 24-hour Drop Ship, D2C
- Develop and recommend continuous process improvement
- Facilitate facility transfers
- Assist with inventory record accuracy through training and enforcing proper scanning procedures
- Support and maintain a safe working environment in all activities, training, and outcomes
- Act as Lead to customer audits to supply procedures, quality standards, and safe work practices
- Travel to other facilities as assigned, included extended assignments, to lead projects and support change management efforts
- Propose and enforces work procedures and warehousing practices to control costs and improve efficiency
- Assist in managing departmental budgets
- Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication
- Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
Knowledge of:
- Management principles
- Safety/OSHA principles
- Supply chain principles
- Customer service principles
- Warehouse basic processes
- Inventory principles
- Basic financial reports such as profit and loss
- Product specifications and terminology
Skill in:
- Using computer hardware, including keyboard, mouse, monitor, printers, and related hardware
- Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Perform intermediate math, using Microsoft Excel to find percentage, average, median, quartile, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, and range values
- Using product picking scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, and related automated heavy equipment used in warehouses

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical ability to move body quickly in order to avoid moving mechanical parts and/or heavy machinery.

The work environment is frequently within the manufacturing and distribution plant consisting of moving mechanical parts and/or heavy machinery, vibrations, fumes, unpleasant odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and moderate to loud noise while in the plant or traveling for work. Work during evenings and weekends as needed.
