"The dimensions are accurate, and this holds up well to use. I can't speak to just how fresh it keeps the food (we keep dog food in it, and I don't eat that) but the dogs don't complain. We have two of them, one we have had for years and it hasn't cracked or broken at all."
"I was really impressed in the tight closure on this container. It keeps my fur babies food fresh which she really appreciates too. Doesn't take up to much room closes air tight easy to open and close latch for people who have trouble with that. Holds 10 pounds perfectly."
"Works for me. I bought this for dog food. I have 2 small dogs and I buy the 12 pound small kibble for small dogs and this holds the entire 12 pounds, which comes to the very top of the container. Keeps the dog food fresh and easy to get a scoop of dog food out of the container each day. I have it sitting in a kitchen cabinet with 3 months worth of the dogs rice and canned chicken as well as treats and their dishes and there is still room in the cabinet. It fits perfectly in front of the upper partial shelf that is in the cabinet, which is a standard cabinet if anyone is wanting to put this in a lower cabinet. Great price for a well made product that fits my needs perfectly."
"Although this is smaller than I thought it would be it still works great for keeping my pets treats fresh. I can not fit an entire bag of food in it but I use it to store his snacks and smaller bags of food."
"I got this to seal away my cat food as cat food can draw ants easily. So this seals and prevents the scents that attract them and keeps his food fresher then if just rolls up the open bag. My cat however is too smart and learned that you need to flip up the part on the lid to open it. he's strong too so he actually was able to paw that ampatt up and open it. So if you want a really strong sealing container for pets be aware it's not open proof for pets with smarts lol. if you put it away where they can't reach like I did it'll be fine"
"I’ve always just left my cat food in the bag but it’s really a pain not spilling it when I’m getting down since I have to keep it out of Darcy’s reach. This is a very basic container. It deals well and holds her bag of food. For some reason a lot of cat food containers l, though cute, don’t hold much food. This one is the perfect size for the bag I buy and it makes it easy to feed her. Closing it was a little difficult at first but after a day or two it closed easily."
"Delivered on time. Awesome container. I have an insane kitten that's breaks into his cat food bags and leaves messes every where despite his food bowl perpetually full of food. He managed to tip the container over for the lip to pop open so he could get into the food -_-so, this container is perfect for lazy pets if you're using it to store food!"
"The delivery person took a picture OUTSIDE the locked gate. They must have been mad because the gate was locked. They had to have thrown the box half way down the driveway. Totally NOT necessary. It's a good thing it didn't damage the contents. IRIS - Do Better."
"I ousrchased this in alightning deal and it is the perfect size to keep my catfood in. The only thing I am concerned about is the seal. It is foam and I expect it to wear out rather quickly. Luckily it is the kind of foam that is used when sealing gaps in doors & windows so easily remedied. For this reason I have to take a star away. I am storing food for animals in it so I cannot have broken seals in it."
"NOTE: This was $7. 05!!! less than 3 weeks ago. It's now $13. 84??? SMDH IRIS. I used this for HUMAN purposes - to store bulk rice. I could NOT for the life of me find anything that was not ginormous for 15 lbs of rice OR expensive as heck imo (upwards of $25). I buy 15 lb rice and wasn't sure it would fit since it says 10lbs, but then again - 10lb of pet food does not always equal the same volume. I used the approximate dimensions of my bag of rice and compared to the dimensions of the IRIS container. It def seemed to fit and w/ room to spare too. I got it, and perfection! I can't attest to whether or not it is airtight but I don't have problems with bugs so for me, it is a 5-star product at a great price ($7. 05 at the time)I am UBER happy w/ my purchase and I highly suggest no matter what you use, it is better to compare dimensions than rely on the lbs estimation in the description."
