"The file box is plastic and about the thickness of your standard tote. The lid flips open and closed and has a plastic snap lock to keep the lid closed. I did Drop the box twice to see durability and it held up with no cracks or breakage. It fits the standard size file folders if you want to put your stuff in file folders (not included) I have been able to hold a lot of documents and even a couple photos that I don't want anything to happen too and it still has plenty of space for me to add even more important documents. It is lightweight and easy to hold while being empty and it will just depend on how much you add to it how heavy it would be for me I am able to easily pull it out of my closet anytime I need to get something out of it or add something new to it. I do recommend this box if you are looking for a lightweight durable standard plastic file box."
"I have ordered this product multiple times. I like that they are clear so you can see what's inside, and I love that you can add smaller items on the top snap compartment. I like to use hanging file folder, and they fit perfectly in these. I do wish they were a little larger because it does not hold a lot. They are great for traveling. Sometimes the latch does break and then the entire file box is useless. That said, I will purchase them again in the future! Why? Because they help keep me organized in my office!"
"I don’t have a lot of files but there are a few that I refer to often. I needed something to keep under my desk, within east reach. It is more sturdy than the ones I’ve had in the past. The compartment on top is good for pens and office supplies. A plus point: I can easily take it to the office or the library. I recommend."
