Very pleased with this purchase
"Very pleased with this purchase and an excellent value for the cost. Pieces were well packed with only a few large pieces of styrofoam, not the little bits I'd been worried about. I had opened box outside, just in case. Not sure how long assembly took -- am guessing 45 minutes-- but I was able to assemble this on my own (75 yr old grandma). The directions are ok -- I suggest looking carefully at the illustrations before you begin, especially the number and location of holes shown, to insure you're working with the correct piece. There were a few challenging moments holding them as I screwed pieces together(need a Phillips screwdriver) but overall assembly went quite easily. All the holes lined up! After retightening the screws as the final step, the unit is very sturdy. Little brown covers are included to hide all the screw heads. The wood-tone pieces had no scratches or flaws and look very attractive. Something I didn't do and wish I had: think ahead to your needs regarding the spacing of the shelves. Two of them can be adjusted but this clearly is best done as the unit is first being assembled. Afterward, as far as I can tell, it will mean almost taking the whole thing apart."

"I bought two of these to use as bed side stands since our bed is so high. Much cheaper than a tall bed stand. They’re great! I don’t understand the reviews that say they’re “like cardboard”. Yes they’re laminated USB like material but they’re sturdy and look really pretty. I was really impressed that every piece was laminated on all sides. Most fake wood shelves aren’t laminated under the shelf because the intention is that you won’t ever be looking at it from that angle. This makes it easier and sometimes trickier to put together. Assembly is pretty straight forward. None of the pieces are labeled so you just have to match up the hole patterns with the diagrams in the instructions. Really not that hard. My favourite part of the assembly was that all the screws are the same size. There’s not time wasted trying to figure out which size screws go where. Extra screws were provided as well as extra screw cover caps. I recommend using a hammer to install those and a Phillips head screwdriver is all you’ll need for assembly. Took me about 30 minutes for each one and that was while my 9 month old daughter sat on my lap to “help”. :)"
