SUMMARY: The Social Media & Content Coordinator will support IRIS USA’s social media, content creation, and consumer marketing efforts by assisting with social media planning, content development, scheduling, posting, community engagement, and performance reporting. This entry-level position helps maintain a consistent brand presence across social platforms and supports the creation of product-focused content that promotes IRIS USA products, campaigns, and everyday living solutions.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in creating social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant channels
  • Support the planning and maintenance of the monthly social media content calendar
  • Draft captions, post copy, hashtags, hooks, and basic campaign messaging
  • Schedule and publish approved social media content using social media management tools
  • Capture and edit short-form video content, product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes content, and lifestyle clips
  • Assist with product-focused storytelling for categories such as home organization, storage, pet, fans, small appliances, food, beverage, and seasonal products
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, tags, and brand mentions across social media platforms
  • Escalate customer service questions, product issues, or brand concerns to the appropriate internal teams
  • Research social media trends, competitor activity, platform updates, and content ideas
  • Assist with influencer, creator, and user-generated content coordination as needed
  • Support giveaways, product launches, retail campaigns, seasonal campaigns, and promotional content
  • Organize and maintain social media assets, links, content references, and campaign files
  • Pull basic weekly and monthly performance metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, clicks, and top-performing content
  • Collaborate with creative, e-commerce, sales, product, and customer service teams to gather product information and campaign details
  • Assist with photo and video production setup, props, product preparation, and teardown as needed
  • Ensure content follows company brand guidelines, copy standards, and approval processes
  • Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, graphic design, video production, public relations, or related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, content creation, internships, freelance work, or related coursework

Knowledge of:

  • Social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts
  • Short-form video trends, social media content formats, and basic platform best practices
  • Consumer product storytelling and lifestyle content
  • E-commerce and retail marketing content
  • Basic social media performance metrics, including reach, impressions, engagement, clicks, and follower growth
  • Brand voice, visual consistency, and content calendar planning

Skillin:

  • Writing captions, hooks, post copy, and short-form marketing messages
  • Capturing and editing phone-based photo and video content
  • Using social media scheduling and publishing tools
  • Using creative tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar programs
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related office software
  • Organizing content calendars, campaign details, files, and deadlines
  • Communicating with internal departments and external partners

Activities will involve frequent sitting, using a computer, analyzing large amounts of data, communicating verbally and in writing. Exerting 20- 50 pounds occasionally, 10- 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy, and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, and hand and eye movement. Move and operate presentation equipment. Travel to and from meetings and various locations inside and outside the building.

The work environment is frequently within an office setting with low to moderate noise, LED lighting, and temperature control while working alongside large groups of employees in cubicle spaces. Incumbents will attend various business meetings and events inside and outside of the buildings. Occasional exposure to the manufacturing and distribution plant consisting of moving mechanical parts or heavy machinery, vibrations, fumes, unpleasant odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and moderate to loud noise while in the plant or traveling for work.
