Super great cooker!!!!

"I love Japanese brands and Iris is one of the greatest companies. I tried to use poke bones and vegetables to make some recipes so far. They were restaurant-quality. If you are not good at cooking and saving your time, you should have one!!!!!!"

I have an old-fashioned slow

"I have an old-fashioned slow cooker that I've wanted to upgrade to a pressure cooker, so I was eager to try this IRIS 3 quart system, and for the most part, it's delivered as advertised. The unit itself is high quality and very simple to use. The manufacturer has a variety of recipes online, but personally, I tend to like to peruse many recipes when making something new and then to choose the one that best meets my needs. As with many small appliances, a lot of the challenge comes when cleaning the unit. Here, the IRIS is about average - many of the parts are dishwasher safe, but there are still a few things that require a bit of disassembly and careful cleaning. The major feature that's both a strength and a weakness is the unit's compact size. If you're making food for 1-2 people, then it's probably adequate, but for anything more (or if you like leftovers), you'll want something larger. As someone new to pressure cooking, I didn't realize that cooking times would be substantially longer than the avertised times because the unit takes a long time to build up to pressure, and then release pressure when your food is done. As an example, a certain recipe I found called for 8 minutes of cooking time, but the IRIS took about 50 minutes overall to build up pressure, cook, then release pressure. Certainly, this is no different than most other pressure cookers, but it's something to be aware of. Other than pressure cooking, I've tried rice and general slow cooking, and both seem to work at least as well as what I'd get from my slow cooker. Cooking is consistent with no tendency to scorch the food at the bottom of the unit. Compared to the Instant Pot, this IRIS unit lacks a few features such as the ability to do sous vide. The 3 quart Instant Pot is also substantially less expensive - for about the price of the IRIS, you can have a 6 quart "Ultimate" Instant Pot. Still, the IRIS is convenient, feature-rich, easy to use and seems to be of high quality, so I'd have no trouble recommending it generally as a credible alternative to other brands, especially if you prefer something in a smaller size."

I've never owned a pressure

"I've never owned a pressure cooker or any type of all-in-one cooking device before and this is the first. I did a bit of reading (reviews) and researching online as to how to use this product and what to expect. So far, it seems that it is a nice size for a small family and since it's just myself and my husband it should be a good fit. I also read that some of the timing for cook time is off so I will just make adjustments as needed. All recipes seem to need minor adjustments here and there so this does not worry me. Its small enough to easily store, has a nice outside appearance if you choose to leave it out on an open shelf or countertop. It comes with clear easy to understand directions as well as a strainer and a rice measuring cup. The control panel is easy to read and operate. The preset times include different recipes, favorites and a clean mode. The different settings for operating include steaming, slow cooking, searing/sautéing boiling, fermenting, temperature cooks, and pressure cooking so lots of options. I have noticed that you can only choose certain time frames so you need to adjust for times in which a more precise time is needed. I will definitely update as I learn to use this product and know better how it works and lasts. I would recommend this to others as it is visually pleasing and seems to be a your basic all-in-one cooker."

The set up process is extremely Easy and the pre loaded recipes make it easy to use. Our food tastes amazing and this has really cut down how many pans we use in the kitchen. I highly recommend to anyone looking for one."

The IRIS U. S. A. 3 Qt.

"The IRIS U. S. A. 3 Qt. 8-in-1 Multi-function Pressure Cooker with Waterless Cooking Function, Compact Pressure Cooker for 2-3 People with Pre-Programmed Recipes makes home cooking very easy. I love that I can sear, and pressure cook all in one pot. For example, I made one pound Turkey chili and it was fast and delicious. Easily enough for 3 people. This cooker is smaller in size and takes up less counter space. The digital screen is large and easy to read. The cook pot itself is non-stick so I am sure to use wooden or plastic utensils to avoid scratches. I wash the removable pot by hand. See my pictures for use."

I like the multicooker except

"I like the multicooker except that the auto cook functions (tried white rice and Japanese curry) always seem to have error saying that the temperature is too high, and will stop cooking."

We always had pressure cookers

"We always had pressure cookers slow cookers and rice cookers but never an all-in-one product for all three. We decided to give this a try because it combines products we already use and really liked the waterless cooking function. It was very easy to set up and worked flawlessly. We've tried all three functions and been extremely happy with the time required to cook the way the food comes out and the ease of use. I highly recommend this as a way to combine several cookers and as a bonus save a lot of space!"
