SUMMARY: 

The sales administration department supports a set of business activities and processes that help a sales organization run effectively, efficiently and in support of business strategies and objectives.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Support new projects to improve profitability managing through cross-functional departments, ensuring cooperation and execution according to plan 
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Assist sales division with various related projects as assigned
  • Assist with research and identify sales variance reasons using information from multiple sources
  • Assist with research, and assembly of various forms of data for sales management
  • Responsible for calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external personnel to coordinate a variety of conference calls and meetings
  • Manage as primary contact for assigned domestic and/or international niche retail accounts
  • Develop and introduce new products and product categories at retail
  • Develop proper channel and create promotion plans for that channel/account
  • Monitor and analyze key competitors
  • Conduct and present pre- and post- promotion goals and analysis
  • Attend and participate in continuous training with internal business teams on accounts
  • Act as expert to internal operations and needs of accounts to align with Company objectives
  • Analyze data and implement high quality solutions and actions to solve problems proactively with a customer or team
  • Maintain a high level of commitment to achieve results by acting with personal responsibility to decisions and outcomes
  • Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication
  • Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent years of experience; and,
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in sales and/or marketing

 

Knowledge of:

  • Sales & marketing principles
  • Profit and loss basic calculations

 

Skill in:

  • Applying basic mathematical problem-solving techniques
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook


Ability to:

  • Present data and information in a variety of methods
  • Continuously challenge oneself and others to improve better operating practices
  • Act with urgency to make the most of sales opportunities 
  • Exceed goals and objectives of day to day business
  • Prepare reports using a variety of methods from multiple sources of data

Activities will involve frequent sitting, using a computer, analyzing large amounts of data, communicating verbally and in writing. Exerting 20- 50 pounds occasionally, 10- 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, and hand and eye movement. Move and operate presentation equipment. Travel to and from meetings and various locations inside and outside the building.

The work environment is frequently within an office setting with low to moderate noise, LED lighting, and

temperature control while working alongside large groups of employees in cubicle spaces. Incumbents will attend various business meetings and events inside and outside of the buildings, and may be required to travel overnight or out of-town for work. Occasional exposure to the manufacturing and distribution plant consisting of moving mechanical parts or heavy machinery, vibrations, fumes, unpleasant odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and moderate to loud noise while in the plant or traveling for work. Work during evenings and weekends as needed.
