IRIS USA, Inc. Announces 4th Facility in Pennsylvania


Surprise, Arizona, May 2, 2018 – IRIS USA, Inc., a leading manufacturer of plastic storage containers and pet products, is proud to announce the future location of its fourth manufacturing and distribution facility in Hazle Township of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.  IRIS operates three (3) existing facilities in Arizona, Texas, and Wisconsin.


IRIS USA, who has recently expanded into new product categories such as housewares, small appliances, and RTA furniture, has recently chosen the Luzerne County area for its abundant workforce and geographic location in order to strengthen production efficiencies and supply channels through ecommerce distribution.  With an overall investment of over $84M into the new facility, IRIS also plans to increase the number and variety of products offered to its customers. 


IRIS USA President, Hiroyuki Takahashi, adds, “We are very pleased to be working with such fine individuals in Luzerne County and the state of Pennsylvania as we embark on our Company's first East Coast expansion plans.”


Construction of the new facility on approximately 30 acres within Humboldt Industrial Park is expected to begin in late 2018 with completion by early 2020.  IRIS plans to create 95 jobs over the next three (3) years.  A groundbreaking ceremony is planned to take place later this month.

Congratulations to Patricia Arban, Willow Canyon HS recipient of the IRIS USA Inc. Scholarship! Patricia plans to major in Communications. She will spend her first two years at Estrella Mountain Community College and then hopes to get into ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

Presenting the award to Patricia are Teresa Heatherly and Fran Sperling, Dysart Education Foundation Directors.

Chet Keizer Announces Retirement as IRIS USA President

IRIS USA, a leading manufacturer in storage and organization products and other consumer goods, recently announced that effective April 1, Hiroyuki Takahashi will assume the role as President of IRIS USA, Inc., replacing long-time president Chet Keizer. Takahashi has 20 years of experience in leadership roles with IRIS OHYAMA, helping the Japan-based company see record sales growth and product expansion. He has worked with IRIS USA in an advisory position during the past 18 months.

Keizer will retire after a distinguished 21-year career with IRIS USA, serving as President for the past 15 years. During his more than two decades at IRIS USA, his contributions and passion led the company to great successes, resulting in continued growth and expansion in the United States. “This is a perfect time for me to step aside and welcome new leadership into the company,” stated Keizer. “I have enjoyed a wonderful career at IRIS during these past 21 years … I have overseen tremendous revenue growth, along with the expansion of two facilities, as well as the creation of our newest facility and North American headquarters in Surprise, Arizona.”

Keizer added, “Mr. Takahashi is a proven leader, and I’m excited for the organization’s future.”
