PROGRAMMER

Job Summary:

Conceptualizes, designs, implements, tests, documents, and supports new and existing software or systems.  Takes an active role in problem-solving by meeting with employees at all levels to better integrate the use of IS resources into the company.  Shares and collaborates with other members of the IS department.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Participates in operational projects; performs programming and scripting utilizing 1 or more of the following programming languages and SQL; VBA, Java, VB script
  • Assist in coordination of development tasks and projects
  • Assists in planning and systems analysis, software configuration and training of employees on Company systems
  • Analyzes designs, implements, documents, tests, and supports software applications, client-server systems, and databases supporting business operations.
  • Researches, reviews, and codifies business and user practices for the purpose of developing systems to support those practices; soliciting and recording user input on both daily practices and business requirements to meet development and business needs.
  • Monitors and recommends business and user practices to make policy and procedural recommendations regarding the use of systems designed to support those practices.
  • Provides technical support for systems for which this position is responsible, or for which this position has played a role in the development.
  • Oversees and implements all aspects of the EDI system from the implementation of new customers through the maintenance of existing customers.  This position is required to research the most up to date applications for cost effectiveness and make changes when necessary.
  • Creates and maintains the labels printed in-house for products, using label development software; manages the system-wide distribution of labels; does technical support for the label printing software.
  • Some network and desktop support is required.
  • Other duties as required

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer or business related field or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in software development with programs interacting with SQL databases.

Knowledge of:

  • SQL, Visual Basic, Java, JSTL
  • Microsoft Office Applications

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary:

Assist general operations of Finance management in ensuring all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions (financial and reporting tasks) are done accurate, complete, comprehensive, and processed on time.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • On a daily basis, manage and maintain assigned customers’ accounts, contracts, files,  and records
  • Ensure invoices (EDI, non-EDI) are generated and sent out on time.
  • Follow established procedures (SOP) for processing receipts, cash etc.
  • Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • Perform account reconciliations, and process adjustments
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure report accuracy
  • Process credit card payments & prepare bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve customer Past Dues, queries, and other issues
  • Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or other effective ways of communication
  • Collect accurate data, and prepare weekly and monthly reports as required by management.
  • Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Sort, code and match invoices
  • Follow established procedures (SOP) for processing receipts, cash etc.
  • Set invoices up for payment
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Prepare and perform check runs
  • Ensure transactions to journals, ledgers and other records are posted

  • Prepare analysis of vendor accounts
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Produce monthly reports (AP Aging analysis)
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Maintain accurate historical records
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information

Required Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting experience

Knowledge of:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (AR/AP)

RAW MATERIALS LEAD

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Raw Materials department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies. Responsibilities Include planning, coaching, directing work assignments while resolving problems within the Raw Material dept.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for accuracy of the raw material inventory.
  • Responsible for incoming material, determining space and storage requirements.
  • Daily data entry for all material usage.
  • Maintain part number identification for all raw material inventory.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow in raw material dept.
  • Confer with production planning and purchasing personal, to resolve problems with colors and resin affecting production.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and organized dept.
  • Report potential “bottlenecks” or problems with material shortage to purchasing dept.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, housekeeping, safety and discipline when needed.
  • Handle personnel problems in raw material dept., resolve employee complaints.
  • Meet daily with raw material employees to organize and prioritize daily task and objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain the equipment in raw material dept.
  • Oversee that all regrind products are properly reground and checked for metal
  • Supervise the resin storage projects for Purchasing.

Relationships & Dimensions

  • Reports to Assistant Production Manager
  • Supervises all the employees and temps in raw material department
  • Interfaces with all levels of employees

Job Requirements & Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous computer experience.
  • Two years’ previous experience as a supervisor or lead person in a manufacturing atmosphere.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Previous experience with forklift truck.
